Droitwich Spa is a town in Worcestershire in the West Midlands of England. |
The town is five miles from Worcester and approximately 23 miles from Birmingham accessed from the M5 motorway at Junction 5 (from the North) or Junction 6 (from the South). |

It has a rich history leading to Droitwich Spa Today. The town has existed as a settlement since the bronze age being one of the main centres for brine and salt production. Even today it has a modern Brine Baths in the centre of the town, adjoining the local private hospital and open to everyone for a brine bath, beauty treatments and fitness facilities. The current population of the town is about 25,000 and rising. |
There is excellent accommodation in hotels, bed and breakfast, pubs and self-catering, with a wealth of good eating places in the town and surrounding villages. The area is also a centre for canal and river cruising with its network of canals and closeness to the River Severn. |

For people driving on the motorway it is often recognised by the radio transmitter masts which for years have made Droitwich a main link in the history of radio broadcasting.
Droitwich Spa is ideally situated for touring the beautiful Worcestershire villages and Warwickshire countryside,as well as being a gateway to the Cotswolds. It is an excellent stopping place for anyone heading for the South of England or South Wales.
